In 2020, I taught myself front-end development to build websites. While I reached a good level of competence, other life commitments soon drew me away, and my coding hiatus began.
Last month, needing a professional website to promote myself as a composer for video games, I decided to use my own skills instead of paying for a template or developer. This turned out to be a steep, challenging learning curve; I had forgotten more than I learned. Simply remembering the correct software—mistaking Visual Studio for the essential Visual Studio Code—caused days of confusion. The most basic concepts were a struggle.
I recalled coding at super-speed in 2020, quickly structuring HTML and styling with CSS. This time, however, recalling even the fundamentals was tough.
But after a few days, and some initial help from AI, the memory started to return. Soon, I was customizing everything, implementing animations and functions using JavaScript and GSAP. Before long, I was able to set the AI aside completely and continue without any assistance.
So, welcome to my website! Thank you for visiting. I plan to update and add new projects regularly as my work as a composer progresses.
